You may want to do a few things:-If you just bought the boat, ask the previous owner what numbers he was getting, because he had owned it long enough to get very familiar with it.-Make sure the hot foot is adjusted to where you are reaching full throttle. I have heard stories of people purposely setting theirs to run below WOT, thinking that it would increase the lifespan of the motor.-I would get an accurate prop to pad measurement, post it here, and Im sure someone with the same hull and possibly same motor will chime in at some point. -The load and weight placement plays a large role in the top end performance, but I doubt your numbers are caused solely by weight distribution, although it could be a contributing factor.-Ive read that plenty of people have run the tempest on earlier hulls, but you may want to try a fury or trophy as well. Both should carry a load and offer a little more stern lift than the tempest.
