2007 puma – 250 yamaha

We like the 25 T series for most. Though some also like a 27 which we feel suffers on hole shot. There are some who have used the 26 Fury with acceptable results. Then the basic 25 Pro Series really performs well in our opinion for most uses. Top End performance lacks on the 25 Pro some and hole shot usually is reasonable.

The only way to be sure of getting the right prop the first time is to try the prop before you buy it. Some dealers will let you try different props, or friends may let you try what they are running.

The yamaha 27T is a monster. Have it ported and tweaked by a prop shop. It holds the water extremely well and is fast. The 25M is great as well but can sling blades and is only rated for 225hp. Ive got a fury now and love it, but my cougar is an 02 and my 250 is the old ox66. Ive never run the 25T, but Im sure its outstanding.

The 25 T1 is a 3 blade prop. I ran one on my 2006 Cougar in the hotter months and loved it. In the spring and fall, I ran the 27 T1. Both props were great, but when it was hot and humid and I had a full load the 25 got it out of the hole quicker. I have a worked and ported 27 T1 I always meant to run. I never did, and it’s just an expensive paper weight now that I have a Mercury. If you want to try it, let me know. You pay shipping, and if you like it, make me an offer for it.
