I’m chasing an eletrical short two days before a two day tournament…draining my cranking battery.
I think I narrowed it down to the double black wire connected to the bus bar on the top, far left (from sitting in driver seat, right side when facing rear of boat as pictured).
I’m getting continuity when I connect multimeter leads from positive terminal and touch this one in particular.
I disconnected it and it seems to be my compartment lights. My question is, there are two black wires that go to this.
I fear running the boat this weekend not knowing precisely what I disconnected. I can do without compartment lights. All other systems seem to be fine. But I could be missing something.
My guess is maybe there are two ground on this single connector because one goes to front deck lights and one for rear deck lights? Maybe?
Any way to confirm this? Help much appreciated.
A wiring diagram would be great, BCB, if you can check… again. Much appreciated.
I’m not an electrician but, I think I traced this one right. If they are both to compartment lights, I may cut and split to help me find the offending compartment light.
Thoughts?
