I just got my hands on the new Curado 5:1. The reel is the most amazing reel Ive ever used! Trust me, Ive had them all! Im liking it so much Im thinking of selling my ten 50 mgs and using all Curados. Although the reels only come in 5:1 and 7:1, my reel repair shop feels certain he can replace the gears over to a 6:1. So the breakdown on the reels!! Theyre extremely light (just an ounce more than the 50 mg), they sit really low in the reel seat, the left hand side of the reel is extremely low profile, they cast a mile, they offer the 200 size spool on a reel thats about the same size or smaller than the 50 mg., they have the new Powergrip II handles and theyre metallic, army green! The green part is the only negative for me!! Shimano hit a home run on this reel! Did I mention theyre $179 compared to $249 for a 50 mg?!
