2009 puma/ hummingbird917c up front . What mount?

The mount that came with it allows the trolling motor pedal to slightly rub it.I was thinking a ram mount? Any ideas out there? Ram mount on console seems to work good. Also does the minkota 80 arm bracket the sa me as the 101?

Long arm ram mount on that unit should work great for you.( What i use on 998). The ? on the troller, if your asking if the 101 will snap on the 80 fram at the head disconnect, it will they are the same. Should be a sticker inside the fram that says 80/101. I am talking bout a fortex having a sticker. make sure they have same length shalf and its an fast swap.

The 917, 958, 998–any of the 900 units are big, heavy graphs. Based on my experience, the regular 1.5″ Ram ball mount will not be solid enough in rough water to hold the unit tightly in place.Id spend the extra money and get the 111HD unit, with thte 2.25″ ball–Especially for a bow installation, where the impact of rough water is magnified.I made the switch on my boats two years ago, and have never regretted it.Mike Whitten/Germantown, TN
