Im thinking about going from a 26 fury, my whole shot is not good thinking about going to a trophy need help what do you all think would give me best results
I have a 26 Trophy Plus as a spare prop. I have used it a few times. My 2009 Cougar/250proxs has a great hole shot with just me in it and a 26 Fury. Add another person and its acceptable. With the 26 Trophy that didnt change a whole lot.
Rmorris,If your hole shot suffers then you need ore ventilation most likely. If you have Power Poles or Talons, then going to a 25 might work and still run suitable on top end. If you have any PVS inserts in the hub remove them and go open holes.
I have the same set up and since i put my poles on my hole shot has suffered. I am adding 3/16″ vent holes to my Fury and hopefully it will help. I am running in the upper 70s with the 26 turning over 6K rpms so I think I would overturn the 25 fury. I wondered if raising the power poles up a tad would help, less drag on hole shot.
it is as much gravity weight on the fulcrum as it is location. Sounds like you may be about 1/4″ high on those numbers which would also slow hole shot more when you lower it.
BCB I opened all wholes and whole shot is bad with trn load and partner 26 fury cougar 250 proxs wont come out of whole unless I turn it side ways what u think cause I fish the BFL and looks like Im going to make regionals at Sam Rayburn so I need to fix this problem before I get in to big water thank you for any help u can give me
If your propeller is not venting any then a little more hole would help. If its like there is no power and it is no breaking loose, we would add either 3/16″ or 1/4″ holes to start with behind each existing vent hole.
