2010 Eyra Specs

Sold my PIV last December. Was getting ready to order a new Puma or Cougar FTD at the end of March. Obviously I cant do that now. Not with a third choice out there. My dealer “Dupo Marine” is telling me Basscat is looking at around the 1st of April for orders? Is that still the target date? What about spec #s? When does Basscat expect to be able to release solid Spec#s? Same with pricing? Is a dual console going to be an option at first or will that be in later development like the Jag? It sounds like it is 2″ shorter. Will that convert to 2″ shorter in garage storage space as well? I have been measuring my garage and getting ready to remove a section of drywall for the new FTD. Maybe I wont have to with the Eyra? Lots of questions I know. I finally got the timing right on buying one. Scott

Scott.The Eyra is not a replacement boat for those upper tier Tournament rigs, though a boat that falls in between. Since you have a Pantera IV model now, be sure you are going to be satisfied with this rig as the floor plan is different. There are going to be many look to jump down to the Eyra, though satisfaction is our concern. We know you will be more satisfied with the ride of the other 20 hull. There is more than 2″ difference in area on this boat and the ride of the Puma or Cougar models is going to be better we feel. . BCB

How long till BCB runs the prototype? I am looking to move up from my P4, any comparison on deck layout?

Ok, so I am having a really tough mind deciding which rig is going to fit me the best. I feel like Im with my wife at the shoe store. Would love to hear as many opinions as possible. Hear is my situation. I am narrowed down to both FTDs or the Eyra. I just sold a 2007 PIV. My previous Cat was a 99 Cougar w/a 225. Loved both boats tremendously, but when I moved to the PIV I lost more top end than I expected. Now I am looking to purchase a rig that I am going to keep for a while 6-10 yrs. I need a rig that handles rough water well, that I can take 2 or 3 kids from my church out in comfortably and is able to handle the various conditions of the waters I fish. (It needs to handle the conditions of LOZ as well as Okechobee or Istopoka) I really liked the draft of the PIV. Some of the places I get to fish in Florida have really skinny water. Last but not least it needs to fit in my Garage 22 2″ with the drywall, 22 6″ without. It will also have a 250 ProXS. No need directing me to used rigs or other dealers, since I will be ordering boat from Dupo Marine.Thanks,Scott

Scott, Our suggestion from what you have described is the reason Kevin Short runs a Puma model. Draft and floor plan. Of course the Puma FTD has the front of your Pantera IV and performance with a 250. We do not think that the Eyra is the choice for you from your descriptions. The Dual Console sounds in order with youngsters and a bride in the mix. You can also go to a 3″ jackplate if you need more room and gain 5″ of length for your garage. BCB
