Hello folks, Just wanted to let you know that I picked up my Puma FTD from Texas Boat World (Cliff & Josh Brown) last week and I am extremely happy with it. I would have liked to show a pic of the boat but havent figured out how to upload. Really love the support that I got from Texas Boat World, BCB, and many members on this site. Folks like Flyswatter and Brannon W were also very helpful. I didnt think that much could get better than my original 2000 PIII but what a difference 10 years makes. Everything about this new rig has improved. New hull cuts through chop like butterTrailer & Swing Away Tongue:Trailer & Boat was only a few inches longer than my PIII so all of those folks questioning getting a 20 footer please make sure that you take physical measurements. I cant tell you how happy I am w/ the migration to a larger boat. Trailer is also much easier to move in my garagePerformance so far:Condition: Tournament load, live wells and gas tanks about 5/8 full, single 200lb driver and no passengerProp: 26 Tempest PlusHole Shot – 5.5 SecTop end – ~ 71mph w/ some “walking”; Max RPM 5650 to 5700RPM. (Trim guage is about half way)2.7hrs on Motor w/ 7.3hrs to go on double oilStill doing some homework w/ the Prop. Ivan of BCB recommended 26 Fury and then 26 Trophy for my preferred application. I priortize hole shot and staying on plan at low speeds but now understand why so many of us get addicted to that top end speed. Wow!Once again, thank you very much for all of the help. I love my new boat and have absolutely no remorse considering that boats are high risks in a poor economy. I am convinced that the folks on this board is one big happy family,Sincerely, 1MC

Thanks alot 1morcast, I RARELY hear many positives here or at my favvy forum, bassboatcentral.com (where facts are not Needed!!!)……Your boat sounds like a winner, between this board,Ivan at the factory and TX Boat World, I would really look at the balance of the boat (ask Ivan where to place Items), this will help you tremendously with Chine Walk. Have Fun and once again Thanks for the Kind words, Flyswatter is a class act and a Killer Driver, he can also help with Pics….Sincerely, HO Man

God Darin, To be honest Im not a Red guy, never have been, but BCBs red is so irredescent and cool that I have to love it. Is that Fire Red or Red/Black? Very clean looking boat, very clean. Your colors will be a breeze to sell if your ever in that position. If you ever need anything my cell is 920-295-2069, and even though everyone here thinks Im Evinrude only, Ive sold Mercs forever and do know a thing or 2 about them,No Jokes Phil Addison….I hope this is your Dream Boat, im sure it will surpase your thoughts and expectations.
