Which lake would you attend for the 2010 Texas BassCat Owners event? (Your vote has been cast.) Total votes: 37 Lake Bob Sandlin 29(78%) Lake Belton 8(22%)You may select 1 option Hey Guys,My name is Thomas Ross, I am founder and Co-Organizer of TBCOE (Texas BassCat Owners Event). I’d like to start off by saying “THANK YOU” to all of the BCB owners who made last year’s inaugural event such a success. We blew all expectations out of the water when we had 54 boats show up from California, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and of course Texas! Id like to thank James Niggemeyer for showing support for BCB and our community. By teaming up with James, we were able to donate over $1,000.00 dollars to the Youth With a Mission charity! Of course, the magnitude of this event would not have been manageable without the support of Rockwall Marine and our great sponsors. They provided us with gift bags for all of our participants, our food, and of course a cook (Tommy Yetts!). I would like to sincerely thank our anglers and sponsors who opened their wallets and took time out of their schedule in a tough year and made this event a huge success. Last but not least, Id like to thank Co-Organizer Mike Tadlock. Without his help, this tournament probably wouldnt have made it off the ground. Oh yeah, thanks BCB for making such a great boat and keeping the business in the family! Now on to business!Choosing a lake is nothing next to chosing a date. Between championships, holidays, tournaments, and hunting season we have to pick our poison. We have chosenSaturday November 6th, 2010. While we understand this is the start of hunting season, we would rather battle that than other items listed above. This year we have broken it down to two regions and lakes that we feel provide BCB owners the best possible event. From sponsorship appeal, dealer participation, lake facilities, BCBs participation, lodging, and of course fishing conditions. So, without further delay, here are the lakes Bill and Reid Prescott will be defending their title at:A: Lake Bob Sandlin – East TxB: Lake Belton – Central TxWe will allows 7-10 days to let votes come in. Please have faith that these lakes both offer strategic advantages when scheduling and organizing a tournament of this size. Please feel free to make suggestions about anything you feel we could benefit from. The date is still open for debate, but we are hoping for either very late October or early November. This is a very limited amount of information to process, but for now we are keeping it simple and narrowing down the lake choices. Once we have a lake and date we will work on lodging, sponsor incentives, marine participation, and the extent of others participation. Remember, this event is open to any BCB owner across the nation. Looking forward to it guys! For a great write up on last years tournament, please visit: http://ttz1.com/results/2009/texas-bass … ek-111409/All of last years winners:Last edited by Imshifti3 on August 23rd, 2010, 11:43 pm, edited 3 times in total.

which lake is closer to Tulsa, Ok?
From Tulsa you are approx. 4hrs from Lake Bob Sandlin. To Lake Belton you are looking at approx. 6.5 hoursJmtfrisco, Texas
Belton is a great lake. Fishing on the opening of deer season is great too……no game wardens! Its like fishing without adult supervision!

I vote for Sam Rayburn!!! ooopppss!!! I mean Bob Sandlin! Hey, they sound alike are in East Texas! I doubt Ill have a tea time for mr. whitetail on Nov. 6th, but I can supply a game warden to officially admininster the event if needed! Dont want no undersize fishies slipping by an unofficial state inspection!! Mwwuuuu-hahahhahhaahhaaaa!!!Seriously, I dont expect anything but to find everything on the up and up. I just hope some idiot hunting near the lake doesnt shoot at something in the bushes and sends a zinger zipping across the lake. That would be bad bull. I think my Humminbird has Sandlin in the memory chip, so at least Ill have a lake map! Time to research Bob Sandlin fishing logs around November and compare it to everything I know about late fall basses on Big Sam…This should be a fun trip! And no birthdays, anniversaries, shutdowns (at least not at this point I hope), or purposefully introduced family distractions that would otherwise be planned to ruin opening day. I am not worried. Opening day the last 3 or 4 seasons has been too warm for coveralls in the blind, even in the morning. Of course if youre hunting north of the Red or Canadian rivers, that might be a different story. Fishing it is! Maybe-so I can rustle up my dad to come along as a fishing partner. It would be a nice break for him away from the daily retired routine. He currently has a Ranger, but had my old Pantera DC before he gave it to me. Thanks for the gift, dad! Because of that, I have this nice awesome Puma FTD now! Of course hes fished out of it, and drooled all over the thing so much I had to wash it, but thats ok.See yall in November. Wheres a good place to camp with the RV and boat?Your Signature …
Cajun, once the voting has finished and “IF” Bob Sandlin is where we go this year, this is a State Park lake and has plenty of space for RV parking and hookups. Lake Belton is also a great lake and run by the Corp of Engineers. I am not sure on th RV side perhaps some of our Central Texas BassCat Owners can speak to more of what facilities are there for us to consider as well.Jmtfrisco, Texas
