Have a small bit (dime size) of what I believe to be gas/oil mixture dripping from the weep holes in the front of my gearcase to my garage floor. Ive looked through the manual, and see no mention of these holes, and what they are there for. I am speaking of the front of the cone, not the cooling water intakes on the side. I have read that this could be unburned fuel/oil, but want to make sure. I smelled the oil, and it was amber/clear looking. Didnt smell like anything really. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,David

Those arent weep holes. I believe what you are referring to are the low water pick-ups for the engine. None the less you have a seal leak. If its oil/gas (green color) it could be the seal between the powerhead and the drive shaft. If its gear case lube (maybe brown with strong odor), you would need to look around the water pump. One requires the power head to be pulled. The other requires the lower unit to be pulled. Either will be covered under warranty and should be repaired by your dealer.

There should not be fluid coming out the front of the bullet. Phil is correct as usual.

Just had my foot replaced in January for the same reason. My foot locked up while on the trailer. I know this sounds crazy but I loaded it on the trailer and the next time I started to the lake, I noticed the oil dripping. Got to the lake and it would not start. Took it to the dealer bc I thought it was the starter. He tried to spin the prop and it was locked. Mercury replaced the complete lower unit and I was back on the water in two weeks.
