There are so many varibles, there no one dimension. You have to set-up your rig for your loading, and with or without live wells full. The way you predominately run your boat, which will be different from everyone elses. I have a 2016 Cougar AE with 8″ manual JP, 2-8 pwr. poles, 36 gallon gas capacity, 3 batteries total (24V Trolling motor), 250 ProXS. My boat was originally set-up with a 26P Fury 3 at 2-1/8″ below pad, but the torque steer was too much and I ran out of RPMs before full trim. I dropped the motor to 3-1/2″ below pad, and now am at 3″. I like it at the 3″ for now with the Fury 3. I was told to raise the jack plate 1/4″ at a time till the speed dropped off, or the torque steer got to be too much. I have just purchased a 26P Fury 4. I have yet to install it. From all of the write-ups, and the manufacturer recommendations, this is the right prop for this boat with the twin power poles. Good luck!
