I have a 2016 Bass Cat, Cougar AE with twin 8 power poles, Merc 250 XS PRO with a Fury 3 26P. I have a manual jackplate. When I got this boat from the dealer, the engine was set at 2-1/8″ below pad. The torque steer was terrible, but the boat would haul the mail! I dropped the engine to 3-1/2″, and currently at 3″ below pad. I cannot trrim the motor all the way out. I hit get way too close to the rev limiter. My AE only hold 36 gallons of fuel, and I have only 3 batteries total (24V trolling motor). I ordered today a 26P Fury 4 for my rig today. Do a search on Fury 4 Phil has got some great statistics on the Cougar FTD.
