Any boy that has a 2013 Cougar FTD with the new torque master lower unit on a 250 pro xs what kind of numbers are you getting on top end and what prop are you running?? Need some help please.

I run a 26 fury when hot, 27 fury when cold. Load an driving will be your final factor on top end. I run medium load ( my opinion). Pole, 4 batteries, 2 folks an gear, 3/4 gas 79-80. Solo 81 ( now speeds with 26). Winter 2 folks 81-82. Best speed solo 83.8 . These are at best #s, it wont set an run on these #s for miles an miles. I probably running plate inch ( maybe more )higher on top end than take off. With hydro plate all way down subtract 2+ mph off top end. I like the new foot, motor not as strong as previous years. Would like to see new foot on the 2011 I had. Good luck with it.

I clipped off a 79.4 in about 15 seconds during the initial break in on my 2014 Puma FTD. 102 air temp on flat water. 2 poles 4 batteries. I would be surprised if you didnt get to at least 79.5. I turn a worked 27 Fury all year long. Hole shot is good. My opinion is the new gear case is the deal. This boat will be faster than my 13 model Puma FTD.

Phil, Have your reeds checked or see if they did at BCB. They (Mercury) checked a number of engines and found a very few loose screws.

Hi, I have the same Cougar and setup you have. Am in central Missouri so not to hot but water temps in the upper 80s running a 27 Fury and top in about 79 light load and 76 full load. I have the motor set a little lower than most, about 3/4 inches below flush, gets a better hole shot and dont really need that extra mile and hour or so and the boat is solid as a rock.
