I want to give a big thanks for all the Basscat Crew for putting on a wonderful event. This was my first OI and hopefully i will be a BCB owner for the next one. Also i wanted to say that i finally got to meet Mr. Pierce Thursday at weigh-in and i was quit amazed that he knew who i was from the Owners board. It was a true testament of what the Pierce family is and how loyal they are to the Basscat family. Hopefully we will see yall at the next event. Tight Lines and Good Fishinghttp://www.demonrods.com/
I just want to say Kudos to the Bass Cat Organization. A great tournament, great hosts, and customer service second to none. Thanks guys and gals throughout the organization.
BCB Family did a great job, and like all others I appreciate all their efforts ! I expected more participation from the Texas folks, but those who attended were all good people and got a small taste of what BCB is capable of pulling off. I feel ashamed not being there for the final weigh-in, but Sam got mad at me for cutting the LSU banner off my light pole,,,,,,,, o.k. Sam, I feel you ! Lol BCB selected the best possible venue, and ran a perfect event. THANK YOU(all of you) for caring for us. Doug Swann
This was my first event and it was a blast. I feel like i missed out by launching at cassell boykin both days. If a person could get used to all the dang pine trees i could live there and my wife loved it to. Im hoping that next year it is around the same time so that i will be off. It was a blast and i cant wait for the next one that im able to make
I hear that some people where not happy about the number of boats at the OI tourney? First off it was there first time outside of AR and the first one is never the biggest. Second there where a ton of people from around the AR area that did not make the drive b/c it got moved which makes no since to me but each his own. I hope BCB comes back to TX and next time it should be bigger if you keep showing people will come they always do.

Just to be clear the staff of BCB is not displeased with the caliber of boats and those who drove in. The draw from outside seemed very good and several were there for up to 14 days enjoying the weather and fishing. We will evaluate the entries and they will make a post after everything is assessed.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on April 10th, 2013, 2:59 am, edited 1 time in total.
I think if I fished there often I would acquire a Jaguar !Yes, a fantastic bunch of great looking boats there, and all who attended had a blast, myself more than I should have ! The guys I stayed with are a great crew.Luke & WayneJim and his dadJP & his dadWardAnd my buddy BillDr. Drury came to weigh-in, and I was glad to see him !All the concern over my lil slip,,,, well, all was fixed with 12 outside stitches and a few inside. Hand will heal faster than my pride. My driver Tammy had a good trip, so all is good ! I look forward to our next gathering ! Gotta love the BCB Family !
I expected more from Texas to show up, I know a couple who didnt, but I was very pleased at the numbers from other states, I hope you guys got a taste of Texas hospitality, as well as the quality of fishing we have during a time that was a little in between when it would have been really good, and trust me, the weather could have been worse. We normally get a little wind. It was my first time on Rayburn and I had a blast. My daughter also had a great time, despite being sick for day 1.
I plan on making the next one had a great time at Rayburn even if the weather did go bad on us. Hope you guys at BCB give us another shot again soon here in TX I think it was pretty awesome you guys took it on the road this year Thanks Again! And just for the record I did not hear the disappointment on BCB part just people at the weigh in talking about the lower turn out.
