If you are driving to the Invitational, what days best fit your schedule to be able to attend and practice? (Your vote has been cast.)Total votes: 107 1. Monday and Tuesday: drive home on Wednesday 10(9%) 2. Tuesday and Wednesday: Drive home on Thursday 5(5%) 3. Wednesday and Thursday: Drive home on Friday 14(13%) 4. Thursday and Friday: Drive home on Saturday 38(36%) 5. Friday and Saturday as in recent years 34(32%) 6. Saturday and Sunday: Drive home on Monday 4(4%) 7. Sunday and Monday: Drive home on Tuesday 2(2%)You may select 1 optionNow that the poll is closed and the results are able to be viewed, you can see the end result is 62.6% opted for the event to be somehow during the week, with 35.5% desiring Thursday and Friday. There are about 35% for a weekend event. Some desired to drive home on Sunday, which we suppose are locals in the area and Sunday would give them evening to drive home. One has to wonder what the 1.9% for Sunday and Monday were onto? It looks like we will consider a Thursday and Friday event, and we do not know how we will work that in with production and not loosing volume of boat production. BCB Original Post below:Give us your opinion if you have to drive to the Invitational! We are considering reorganizing the days of the Owners Invitational in 2013. If we were to do this what days would best fit your schedule to allow you to drive in and return home comfortably. Obviously with the situation we have faced the past couple of years we need to accommodate those driving in the Invitational. Realize that moving the event to a mid week or end of week format would miss some of the local traffic that prefers weekends on the water and might improve our date selection. Please refrain from comments about moving the event to Bull Shoals as we know that thought process and our direction is different at this time. Our goal is to make the dates of this event more accommodating to those who drive or will have to drive in to enjoy their time and return home. Maybe even saddling the Cystic Fibrosis event for bettering the entire experience that week. We hope to announce the dates of the 2013 Owners Invitational soon after the BASS Open event schedule is released. We are pinning this down so that we can announce the dates and location in a few weeks. Most of the preliminary details are finished and we await the Open dates. We have some interesting news for the 2013 event and we have tried to get out of the box these last few years for drawing out of a 100 mile radius. Over the past 10 years this has slowly grown to over an 80% draw within a 150 mile radius. Thank you for your vote on this poll.BCB

Anything but Sunday suits me. I need all the religion I can get! The other request is that the date be after school is out. Id love to bring my sons. I understand obviously thats diff for every one. I just dont want to fish with anyone other than them… Thanks BCB for your consideration in asking. Thats part of the reason Im loyal!

VA was a typo on another state, GA we believe. The participation was low so it did not influence the opinion, though the other state might feel slighted.

I just voted for Thursday – Friday. Was thinking it might be worthwhile to consider having the Cystic Fibrosis on that Saturday, Those of us traveling long distance could squeeze that into our plans. I have fished the Cystic a couple of times but it required a ten day stay at Norfork. My fishing partner has trouble being away that long and now with the high fuel costs it becomes expensive as well. I dont know if it would increase numbers for OI, but I think it would increase numbers for Cystic.If you consider this, you may want to have OI on Wednesday – Thursday and give the lake a day of rest in between, although if we are all staying for Cystic we would be on the water Friday anyway. Just a thought, and I have probably missed many logistical complications.
