My new P2 should be in the next few days. I night fish a lot and would like to know if anyone has ever used the bow mount Golight on a Bass Cat or knows if It will work.ThanksPower requirements: This product requires a minimumvoltage of 12V and requires at least 5.5—6amps to function. 7 amp fuse recommended.If the power receptacle is wired correctly and thelight will still not activate with the remote, the boatwire may not be the recommended gauge. GolightInc. recommends a minimum of 14 gauge wire; 16gauge may or may not be sufficient depending onthe total length of wire.

The wining on the accessories is all 16 gauge, and the main harness is either 10 or 12, depending on the age of your rig. We are not aware of the go light by brand as you mention it.

Thanks 1stinLA that would be the one. I put the power requirements below in the original post I just did not want to spend the money if it wont work. Or if any one would have a better idea for a running light. Those Chanel markers leave a nice dent!

BCB I dont know if you saw it, but RKW did indicated a 2013 model on his header. I have seen a few use those lights out in the bays down here on multiple brands but I cant say I have seen a Cat with one. But I have seen some real cruddy older boats I didnt think would float running that light around here. If the wiring harness to the front is 10-12 gauge and just the wiring from the socket to the harness is 16 gauge it should only be about 7 1/2 inches, and I dont see a where it would be a problem.
