2014 Pantera 4 trim gauge not working

My new P4 trim gauge just quite working this morning worked fine yesterday while we where out put it in the water this morning and read all the way down and wouldnt work. Fished in one area and when I cranked up to leave and started trimming up it started working again could there be a short somewhere that I could look for any advice would be greatly appreciated

If the gauges are the black background and white lettering faced Beede gauges you have an analog trim sender. On a Mercury those are notorious to fail and they are a warranty item.

Yes it does have the Beebe Gauges and a Mercury engine. Thanks for the information and thanks for making such a nice boat couldnt be happier with anything else.
