I just picked up a new to me 2015 caracal. Its got belly tanks and a 10 gallon (I think) tank in the port stern. Couple of questions. The tank switch by the transom has left right and off. I believe left means the belly tanks and right means the rear tank. Is that correct? Now in the gauges is a switch for tanks that I think also says left and right. Does this switch simply read the fuel gauge between the belly / left tank reading the stern/ right tank reading?Do people typically but gas in both tanks or only the belly unless running a long distance for a tourney? The belly tank is accessed by having the switch in the splash well turned to left. The other tank by having the switch turned to right. And you are also right about the buttons on the dash. I have a belly tank and a 26 gallon tank in the back. I usually use the rear tank most of the time. Ill have the belly tank about 1/3 full.

My rear tank must be 26 as welll as my total capacity is 59 gallons. Why do you fill the rear versus the bellies? I do run the belly tank low to use up the gas. Gasoline, if treated, doesnt go bad all that quickly. Sherm suggested I use the rear tank mostly to get more weight toward the back. It makes for a little faster speeds.
