2015 Sabre Taking On Water

I have a new 2015 Sabre that I have just over break in. I have had no issues out of the boat until yesterday afternoon I noticed water coming up from the floor drain. The plug was in and in good. I didnt notice any hoses loose from the pumps. Anyone have a clue as to what it could be? I know I can take it in for warranty work but if its quick fix Id like to handle it myself. I get its hard to point out without looking and the further I get into this is realize I should just take it in. I guess if this was going to happen it would be on one of the best weather weeks of the year…

We dont mind do it yourself fixes if your capable and its simple. Often times we just provide the parts to you of it need something. Our question is did you recently replace a battery as often when this happens you step or place a battery on the overflow, or pump housing. They are sometimes fragile after exposure to battery gasses and this is more common if you dont crack the lids while charging. Thats where we think you will find your issue.

Havent touched a thing. The only reason I open the back lid is to plug up the charger.

I would check the o-ring on your plug first. Then I would put it on the trailer and fill boat with water to see if it were coming out at some fitting.If neither of those tell you anything then I would bring it to the dealer.

Remember that often water will leak out where it leaks in.

You can also do some testing at the ramp. With the boat on the trailer and the plug in, just back it in far enough to be sure the through hull fittings for the pumps are submerged. Leave it for a bit and then do a visual inspection in the bilge area looking for bubbles to indicate a possible leak in a fitting or the drain plug. Then in turn, try the aerator, and then the pump in. If one of those pumps has a leak, you will see it pour in when you turn it on. I once found a cracked aerator housing like that. I also had a Southco drain plug that was notorious for leaking around the o ring, even after replacement.

If no hoses are leaking, its very possible that a pump housing or fitting is cracked or loose. Leave it strapped to the trailer. have someone back it in while you look in the bilge area.I bet you will find it. I had a crack in one of the pump housings. Couldnt find it till I did that.

Im betting this is a simple fix .I had a leak that leaked only when aerator was running. Yep cracked housing!2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Have you recently cleaned the livewells? I had cleaned my livewells and then went out fishing and ran the livewells and had the same thing happen, filled the bottom of the boat up slowly. Here i had forgotten to turn the valves off after finishing cleaning and was pumping lake water into the bilge! I felt about 2″ tall after that lol.
