In the process of buying a 2016 Eyra that currently has a 25 fury on it. Test drove it thursday and loved it but it had great top end at 75 but sluggish outta the hole. Dealer is going to change props to increase hole shot because I dont care about that last 5mph. What would yall change it to in order for it to pop out of hole and hit maybe 70mph would be fine…actually fine with like 68mph…

Brian- Congrats on the Eyra! You will love everything about it other than the Holeshot…. Does the boat have a hydraulic jack plate?

I went thru a bunch of props trying to figure my 17 out. I ended up with a Bravo XS 27P and really liked it. Holeshot is much better and liked the way it drove and handled. Speed on top end bumped 75 with half fuel and heavy tackle. 2 guys, heavy fuel and tackle with full live wells still over 70. If I had it to do over again I would have tried a 26 as well.

It does have a 10″hydraulic jp. I know lowering the plate and trim all the way down should help, but insure thought changing to a 4 blade prop would also help. Are you saying that your 4 blade bravo is still sluggish outta the hole?

No, it was much better than the Fury. 27 with livewells full 500 pounds of anglers, 45 gallons of fuel was a little slower so if you tournament fish I would recommend the 26.

27 Bravo with full fuel and dry wells took about 3 sec to get on plane from a dead stop.
