Okay, swapped over to an Ultrex, now cover won’t stay down under rub rail while attempting to tighten down. The Ultrex is obviously sitting higher on the boat than the motor guide did. Has anyone else had this issue? With that being said, here are the obvious things going through my head:
1-raising the trolling motor up when trying to cover, (just sliding up the clamp or running shallower), just a thought, haven’t tried that yet. Would this move the head of the unit inboard enough to matter…..
2-the cover stays over the nose of the boat, just coming up over the side by the top of the trolling motor over the rub rail, you can see about 3′ of the rub rail when attempting to tighten down. I don’t want to pull it like that.
3-What am I missing here guys? I know others have this setup, I just feel like there’s an obvious “light bulb moment” I’m missing here……
