Only problem will be every time he sits down the boat will go “OOOOFFFFF!” That problem aside, I doubt there will be a problem. Ive fished in one a few times, once with me (200 lbs) and a friend (280). No problems. The BC driving position is not quite like other boats. Less “crawling in” and more “walking in and sitting down”. I currently own a pantera classic which is not a whole lot bigger and Ive not seen any problems with me or others that are pretty good sized fitting behind the wheel. I have a 2011 Sabre FTD, and its more weight sensitive than my buddies Pantera II. My buddy is 6 foot 220 and with the 175 Merc, holeshot is still very fast. But when he is moving around on the back deck, its very noticeable while Im on the front. His weight is also noticeable until the Sabre is up on plane.Same buddy fished out of the 14 Eyra I had, and he loved it. Much more stable. He also ran the TM and fished from the front. Said it was the best boat he had ever fished. Its very responsive to TM inputs.

If you stay away from a hot foot he will be fine to drive it.
