I own a 2017 Cougar AE. I changed out my tires to 22570R15, they previously were a 75 series 235 ten ply trailer tire. I went down to attempt to clear my door without dropping the motor off the motor toter. I have a 7 foot door, the top of my motor off the toter is a little bit higher than 6′. When it is tilted on the toter it could rub the rubber on the bottom of the door. I also have power poles, so they get partially deployed in order to get out the door. Of a concern with me was the fact that this house has a true 24′ deep garage in 2 of the stalls. So my Cougar, with the motor down, poles up, tongue tilted fits straight into the garage with no problems. I hope that this does help, fyi, if you are backing the boat in on an incline, going into the garage that too is going to affect the height of the motor as you go through that opening. I am lucky in that I have a very slight incline. Even so it does affect the motor height. Good luck with getting it into the garage.
