2019 Puma FTD Livewell

No, it’s the valve or cable. The cable shroud slips in the tension clamp and allows the jacket (shroud) to move. We doubt it’s anything else on a 2019 as it hasn’t aged yet.

There is also a slight detention at the end of the arm stroke you can feel. That last bump in the arm stroke should close the valve when in fill. If you don’t feel that detention then likely it’s slipped.

If the valve is simpler for you to check than dropping by your dealer and having the technician dig in there, then yes. If you prefer, just drop by the dealership. It is the clamp on the cable that is loose.

Check it at the valve.  In this diagram, the screw and clamp that BCB is referring to are parts “H” and “I”.  I had a similar problem last year, but with mine, the cable had actually slipped out of the hole on the arm (“E”).

I have run in to this twice. Make sure your getting the detent when moving the actuator switch to empty or auto. If your not getting it, there is a plastic nut that secures the outer cable to the actuator. These will come loose if not tightened correctly. Instead of the cable moving the valve open or completely closed, the outer shell moves instead. I believe two screws hold it in place. Once I secured the nut the detent was felt and the water quit flowing into the livewell while on Empty.

That might be what I’ve been chasing on mine! I dont feel any detents at the end of the travel of the switch, And my aerator setting sumps air, or acts like it wont prime. Its also half the flow of the recirc which does not use any part of the valve. Will report back after inspection.
