As far as I know, the batteries are a dealer install on a new boat. On a used boat, if traded in, the batteries might have been shot and your dealer put something in to “get by”.
My ’17 Sabre FTD AE with dual consoles, two 27 wet cells for the Fortrex 80 TM, one 31 series for the cranking/electronics, 15 rods/reels, lots of tackle, but not crazy amounts, and a ’17 Yamaha SHO running a Ronnie Gilbert 24″ Tempest Plus, with 30 gallons of fuel, and me at 185 lbs, will run 69.8, but it walks, and I have only been able to keep it there for a few seconds. I am pretty sure it would see 70+ once I can drive it properly.
With a Bravo I FS 25″ prop, it’s 68-69 mph, with a little better hole shot and handling, but not significantly “better”. I am running at 2.5 to 3″ PTP and water pressure is 15 – 20 psi at WOT, depending on trim position. Those numbers are in air temps of 50-70. At 90 degrees, its a little slower.
