We are more transparent than any company we know of, and we were transparent on this issue also, and we will be. The topic was closed as comments were extended beyond user experiences. Just as those comments here are extended beyond actual details regarding boat use.
Your boat operated, fished, it functioned and you demanded it to be faster and soon. The adamant approach was from early stages and you bypassed your dealership initially, engaging our staff. We said we would look into it and asked that you not just place it up for sale, as you insisted you would if we didn’t drop everything and find the performance you were after. You insisted (posted email) that we leverage Mercury for you, if it were found to be the engine, as you have much less leverage as a consumer. After agreeing to let us get through dealer meeting, you placed it for sale within a few days of the conversation. That was well before the time line given to you as to when we would review it.
There is not another bass boat company, nor another boat company, we know of that takes such an open platform commentary or engages consumers. No other boat (bass) company has their own forum, let alone hosted on their .com.
We laid our position on the table, everyone was given ample opportunity to read the emails we posted and content. It is no longer pertinent to ownership you no longer have, this is an owners forum. You had your platform and you offered to provide emails to members by request. We then posted those emails publicly, we were not malicious, covert or under the table.
We can comment on many product experiences, and we also have customers with very fresh recent negative experiences from other brands. We respect their resolve and approach to their issues, or manner in which they acted as consumers.
