Just got the boat 2 weeks ago. Love the boat! Only real issue I’m having is the compartment lights don’t work. Everything else on the panel works (guessing they get power from the same harness). They don’t come on when opening the lids.

I’m pretty electrical savvy. What wire do I need to be looking for and where?

Probably a switch not closing and timing out the lights. Check all of your switches and we think you will find one the something has allowed it to get bent or lose function.

All spring loaded switches freely move. I’ve turned on all power and all switches, just to make sure.

Any other ideas?

Looks like there are white wires with red stripes. Are they attached to a harness or central power line somewhere? Center ground? Do they tie into some other wire somewhere?

Bamacatjr,

If the power is on and the lights are not working, we are going to ask you to either contact your dealership, or we can work with you direct through warranty and service. We prefer a dealership as it’s not your responsibility to repair your boat. There is a good chance the security circuit inside the panel has failed. This is rare, still we have seen it happen before.
