We are a GO on the 2021 Bass Cat Owners Invitational!
Things look good for the event and we should finalize plans next week for release of the entry forms between September 13-17. The event will be a FULL Field, with the always intended entry fee of $200. The increase to $200 from $150 was planned prior. There will be an additional $5 fee per team for the event operation, software and program use. That will not be collected by BCB and is an outside vendor.
There will be no indoor activities at this event and all gatherings will be minimized.
Registration will be outdoors at the Hickory Park pavilion (330 South Hickory Street) in Mountain Home. There will be a no contact, take off, check in and weigh in, with requirement of smart phones by at least one boat participant.
The normal 25 Wild Cards, 25 rubber ducks per day 1 and 2, Cougar FTD and 250 Pro XS boat drawing as in the recent years. Rubber ducks will include the 150 Pro XS to be awarded following Day 2, Minn Kota trolling motors, HumminBird electronics, Lew’s Rods and more all will be included at some level, as prize awards, at the event.
Payout at the event has characteristically been near or above 400% of entry. Early estimates for 2021 have valued the payout as roughly 270% to 300% of entry. True payout percentages will not be available until entry is Final.
There will be a third (3) day for ONLY the Top 20 or 25 teams with zero weight starting day three. All information, festivities and drawings will be done virtual, thus smart phones, tablet or PC requirements.
Stay tuned for the entry form release in a week we hope. Details are developing quick.
2022 Bass Cat Owners Invitational:
Plans continue to evolve for the 2022 event and a tentative date of April 21-24, 2022 has been selected.
We know there are some conflicts with schedules and the location will be outside the Mountain Home area. We will peak celebration of the 50th anniversary there in 2022 and this event will culminate the festivities. Since we can not fully celebrate this October we deferred plans and have a great outdoor template for all if the location comes together. Plans are already underway for several activities you won’t want to miss.
Will the third day be on Sunday or will the tournament run Thursday, Friday with Saturday being the third day?
Yes, so that people can arrange their weeks.
Yes to which? Thurs -sat?
Yes, Friday and Saturday are full field, with Sunday as the final 20 or 25 Teams.
What are the wild cards and rubber ducks? First time attending from 2000 miles away so sorry for the questions!
Thanks!
Wild Cards are random rewards through the field for placement such as 247th place might be $753.
So does the (requirement of smart phones by at least one boat participant.) mean that this tournament will be done with a service like TourneyX? Will photos be sent in instead of a weight in and length be used as the rule for weight or will it be in inches of best fish?
Thanks and I’m just glad I get to attend one again!
They have not released details and are formatting those still. It’s a larger platform and higher profile than most they are accustomed to.
Any idea when they’ll get the signup and rules done? It’s getting pretty dang close to still be figuring it out.
It’s figured out, they do have some authoring of rules to manage and they intend to release soon. Everyone has the dates and they have reservations, it’s just the details.
How come the BCB OI 2021 event is showing password protected?
Because they haven’t opened the registration yet.
Thanks hadn’t figured that part out on my own 👍. Most of the events listed over the years have not shown up on the page password protected but had information posted such as EIA details.
I saw the youtube video for using the TourneyX platform during to tournament. I haven’t seen registration open or rules. Did I miss something?
