Im running a 26P Fury on a Cougar FTD with 225 Pro XS. It planes off like my 25P Trophy (good!), but it turns rpms similar to my 27P Trophy…5600-5700 in this heat. I got it to 76.1 yesterday before running out of lake. I was still accelerating pretty good. I was pretty light on fuel (6-8 gallons in one tank), all my gear, about 6 rods, live wells empty, by myself. It was close to 100 degrees here in TX at the time. I bet the hole shot with a 25P would be amazing, and you should run good on top as well. I would go with the 25P for all around use, although I cant wait to see what she will do when the weather cools down. My record is 77.6 with a worked 26 Trophy with a fishing load under ideal conditions. BTW, pull all the PVS holes, the barrel is so long it dosent tend to blow out like a Trophy. Also, be careful not to jump it over your truck when putting it on the trailer.
