I was at Sherms last week, looking at the Eyra that was at the dealers meeting. Would the 225 engine hurt the resale and or trade in value down the road? I forgot to ask Sherm about that. I know the boat will run well with that engine…well enough for me anyway. . I am kind of thinking about a PII as well. I may not be able to swing either rig right now, but I am getting that new boat fever.

No not on this boat it will not. Most boats yes but this one is so fast with this motor that it satisfies most people because performance. That is my opinion!!

I put a 200 ProXS on my Eyra at the same time Mr. Ron Pierce put a 200 Verado on his Eyra. My boat will touch 70 with great hole-shot while using less gas and oil. And Mr. Rick allowed these two 20 footers to leave the factory with a single axle trailors which allows moving it around in tight places. I use heavy duty tires and I have not had any hint of trouble with it. I will be 75 on my next birthday and no longer need to go more than 70. And the rough water here at LOZ doesnt allow more than that for any long stretch no matter how good a driver you are. Bite the bullet and buy the boat at Sherms. You will love it.

That setup is so fast it will be a 73mph plus boat with two in the boat at a minimum IMO. At that speed how much faster does one want to go? Ive driven the Eyra/225 ProXS and that is a hot rod setup.

I know the 225 is plenty of engine. I was just curious about how appealing it would be when and if I wanted to sell it. Of course, I would have to buy it first.
