24 volt to 36 volt trolling motor

I have a 2013 p2 currently with a 80lb 24 volt fortrex. I have opportunity to get 101 lb fortrex for no charge for a trade my question is that if I do this to I just have to add a battery in series or do I need to change the gauge wiring all the way to the trolling motor?

add battery and one jumper wire.

All you need to do is add your cranking battery in series with a jumper wire. If youre not adding a 4th battery, make sure the cranking battery is a large high capacity battery if you fish greater than 8-10 hrs. in a day with limited outboard motor use.
