I have the same basic boat 2011 Couger, 36 volt MotorGuide, also have one power pole, and 4 batteries, empty live wells, and 30 to 40 gallons of fuel. I carry a pretty light load, and myself at 175 lbs I have a hole shot around 6-7 seconds, 2 people a little longer. I was told by the previous owner to start with the jack plate all the way down, and of course the trim down. I wonder about a 25 Fury, my top speed has been around 75 mph and I believe 5450 rpms. I am sure there is more, but I need to get more comfortable before going for more speed. This is my first Cat, just wondering what is normal. The only other boats I have been in have all had belly fuel tanks, so I am sure that improves hole shots. Not that great listening to my fishing buddy tell me how great the hole shot is in his “C” boat, but greatly enjoy changing his tone as we keep climbing over 70mph.Thanks for any comments or suggestions,Bill Mac
