I have a 250XB on my 2000 Jaguar and over the last couple trips out it has been running progressively worse each time. At first it would backfire and take a couple seconds to catch up to its self when switching from forward back to neutral. Then it would seem as if it was missing when giving throttle to get back up on plane. When at about 2,000 rpms it would studder a few times and then catch up and run great above 3,000 rpms. now what i have is when idling in neutral it runs smooth but when put it in gear it seems to backfire or miss and not reach 2,000 rpms. Searching online for a solution we came up with a few different possible issues. Bad stator, coil, plugs, basically every post lead us back to the ignition system. I replaced plugs and that didnt seem to help. This is our first year with this boat/motor and am not that familiar with it so any help wout be greatly appreciated. The boat also has new “Ethanol Friendly” gas lines from the tank selector switch to the engine including a new bulb. Thanks
