28 Trophy not enough for new 250 HO

Tried the 28 trophy on the new 250 HO today. 2 second hole shot and turned it to rev limit very quickly at 74 to 75 mph with quite a bit left. This lower geared lower unit is incredible; I really couldnt believe it ripped a 28 trophy like that. I think Im going to see just how fast a cougar ftd can go with this new motor. Need more prop to do it, so I think the 27 Fury is my next try. Any thoughts on where Im headed here are appreciated. Some of you have said he Bravo series might be something In need to consider too. Anyone know where I can get a 27 Fury?

Make sure your at 3 to 3.5 below pad, strap a 27 Fury on and let that HO eat. My HO buddys at EvilRude said the new case RIPS another bass boat company was also pleasantly surprised. Evinrude may have a winner.Your Signature …

Call steves custom props. He had some solas scorpions with the same geometry as a yamaha 27T. He pulled mine back around 26p with a little cupping and at 5700 Im at 78-79 mph. If the weather is right, I can turn it to 5800 and Im at 80.1. It has a 15&1/4″ diameter and is a beast to spin with my old school 250, but it never stops pulling and I can carry any load I want. With air temps under 80 it has a quick holeshot. Its not bad even in hot weather. It doesnt blowout when the boat breaks over either.

Tx76 that sounds like a bad ass prop……with the M2 case and 1.85:1 gears I dont think the 4 Banger will be the king of hole shots anymore. Back in the 225ho days guys were running 27 and 28 Takers before BRP changed to the chitty L2 case and ratio, I hope we can get this stuff worked out cause the 250 HO is really a great motor, plus the sound at 6100 rpms is just bone chilling, something the 4 strokes just dont do,Your Signature …

Steve did my prop.A year or so ago he was running a go-fast gambler and fished out of his buddies Basscat.He seems to know what Basscats hulls want.Lake Fork TX903.765.9000

Agreed, I think he sees a lot of them. I asked him to get my old rig to 80 and he did. While explaining something to me, he mentioned that things would be different if I had a high performance rig. Haha, 80 is still cruising to him. He knows his stuff and is friendly to boot. He put up with and answered all my stupid questions.
