I have a 97 Classic, the guy who installed my new graphs said the connections for my nav/anchor light switch were loose so he cleaned them up for me while he was under the dash. Now the switch wont light up and the lights wont come on either at the dash or on the bow panel (bow panel switch lights up but lights dont come on). I have check the power and I have 12v at both switches but I am thinking either the dash switch is bad or hooked up wrong. The guy who did the graphs is 1hr away and before I pay someone to tell me it was just hooked up wrong I thought maybe you guys could help. Here is how it was hooked up: TopAnchor jumper RedBlk RedAnchor Bow LightI found a video on You Tube for a different brand of switch that shows this:Anchor Jumper Black? Red EmptyAnchor Bow lightIs this right? I have an extra (hot) red wire and am not 100% on the black wire but the video said the empty spade for a hot wire not used and the only place left for the ground was top right spade.. Also is there any way I can check the switch before I replace it? The bow switch is a different switch so just swapping them out wont work. . Any help/suggestions will be appreciatedThanks, Bill RobertsLast edited by onefishbill on August 4th, 2014, 1:28 pm, edited 2 times in total.
