Are there any 4 stroke Margays out there yet. Looks to be a very functional and effecient boat. Just wondering if any are rigged with 4 strokes yet. Curious to see speed and fuel numbers between 2 strokes and 4 strokes on that hull.
The factory did stone up on a Margay and we believe hey have one coming out with the new four stroke soon.

They do have some fuel usage numbers on Mercury Marines website under the boat tests. Fuel numbers are real close between the 150 fourstroke & the 150 pro xs.

I bet it will be whisper quiet and I already read specs from BassCats dealer meeting. If the consumer model is anywhere close to what BassCat was sharing this is going to be one hot motor. If you fish a good bit youll save coin with oil too. So many positives. The Bass Boat FourStroke revolution continues.Congrats!

The dealer & the regional salesman tried to talk me out of getting this motor. I have read a lot of good things about it so with a 5 yr warranty everything should be fine. This will be my 1st bass boat purchase. Im coming out of a 24 Cobalt bowrider so it will be a big change for us. Its really great how you can find out about anything you want on this forum.
shelby86, we know there are a couple of engines on the way in from Mercury now. Not sure though we yours would be one of those. We hope you enjoy your Margay and get time to fish from it plenty. It has to be much easier to fish from than a 24 Cobalt. The ride edge will go to the Cobalt though.

Shelby, I wouldnt worry one bit being an early adopter. Heck, established motors arent perfect either. You have 5 year warranty protection. You are in great shape! Cant wait to read any reports you may have when you get it.
