6 pin Amp Waterproof Connector

Does anyone know where to get a plug like this with pigtails so that i can splice in and replace the bad section of wiring.Its the plug on the end of a 34-6456-18 – Trigger V, 96455A18 for $105.My other option is to cut both sides and put new male/female plug in the middle. Or go old school and put a splice point that strip the wires and place under the screws, tighten down.This boat has never seen salt water either. Not sure how this started corrodingThanks In advance for the helpJoe

From the pictures of the wires on “down stream” from the connection, looks like have more problems. I would suggest biting the bullet and getting the part already wired. May be less expensive then Mercury if you could find someone handling CDI / Rapair electronics.John

I suspect replacing the connector is a waste of time. Ive had that problem in the past. Once you see that green crap on the copper wires, it most likely goes ALL the way up to the trigger. Id hunt down a new trigger assembly and fix it so that you know it is fixed.
