8 Inch Slidemaster on Cougar FTD

Quick question, to adjust the 8 in Slidemaster jack plate, all I need to do is loosen the two bolts on each side and then use the big center nut to raise and lower. Cant see it being anything more but never hurts to ask before you tackle a new plate.-Henry

It is as easy that…..you should have no problem. Just mark where it was and where you are going to be sure to measure the movement. Most move in 1/4″ increments; or so I am told.

Slide a knife blade along the top of offset in the rails to etch the present position
