Ive got a 95 Eyra. Currently my set-up is a CMC powerlift JP 5 1/2″ and Merc 150 XR6 with Tempest 23p prop. My prop to pad measurement was 3 1/2 below pad Im only getting 55 mph looking to make it to 60 atleast. I was told I should be able to pull it off with this set-up. What do I need to do? I dont think that would be a “late” model eyra you have there (that means new). Sorry dont mean to be grammer police, might help you get more accurate responses though.What are your Rs at?
Thanks I noticed that after I posted oh well. Not sure my RPM gauge is not working ever sense I had the boat. Ive never hit the limiter if that means anything.
Good luck setting your Eyra up. You should be able to get low to mid sixties but in my opinion it is going to be hard to get your boat dialed in without knowing what your RPMs are. I would think the 23 pitch would be about right – but again without RPMs its hard to tell since. You could adjust your motor height. I think BCBs recommendation is to go up on your motor until you feel it torquing to the right and then go down just a bit until you are comfortable. If you start messing with motor height make sure you have a functioning water pressure gauge.Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra

Hey guys sorry for the late reply got my tach working just didnt have good connections. So hopefully this next week I can test and run and Ill get back with yall so we can get this thing running at its top. Also added a Power-pole so not sure how much that will slow me down.
