I got my 95 P2 up to 60 the other day. Smooth water 1 person light fuel light tackle. Rooster tail was right where it needs to be rpm around 5500 6″ manual jack plate 200 merc 27 pitch 4 blade ss prop. I know it should run faster than that but not sure what other adjustments to make. Any ideas? Thanks

For a 1995 model with who knows what gathering over the years we think the 27″ is too tall, the engine must be laboring and we would try a Fury. Bet you have torque in the wheel and the rooster tails not up because there is not enough forward motion. I have a 96 pantera 2 with a merc 150 efi ,with 23tempest plus my best top speed is 60&change at 5600 to 5700 rpm pretty heavy loaded & duel console. My guess would be to much prop like BCB said,

I agree I had an 03 Pantera 3 200 efi with 25 fury and it would run around 68 loaded at 5500 to 5600 up to 71 – 72 light loaded 25 fury is the ticket

I agree with BCB. I run a 25 Fury on my 94 P2 with a 200. Upper 60s touching 70 wiht semi -tourney load

I have a 98 P2 with a 200 Mariner. Running a 25 Trophy Plus I have hit 72
