A few questions for the Jaguar experts.

The triangular piece is added to allow the symmetry on the back deck with lid design. The console is a two piece to give the Jaguar a large console, because the boat with a normal console looks very out of place. When the console was built they open stacked it in a Puma FTD to check appearnace and fit, trying to get the gauge appearance and mirrors on the Puma and Cougar FTD series. The Jaguar console so large that in a Puma FTD looks like you stacked a Volkswagen on the boat. However it fits a Jaguar in appearance just fine. The reason for the split seam is to keep the mount narrower and the way things have to be molded to pull. A normal console looks too small and shows the mass of a Jaguar with the underwhelming console size.

Ward mentioned the Lynx, but too many unknowns there, and the Jag is a proven platform and design for potential rough water application. Everybody claims none better. Unfortunately looks like I may have to put the 2017 idea on hold, just discovered an unexpected “large” expense for the coming year. Patience is a virtue ??!!?? Not sure about that.
