I just learned this evening that the probably one of the most if not the most important bass baits were invented back in the 1800’s in my camp back yard. I fish Bomoseen occasionally and Champlain all the time which is where camp is located. I had no clue that the basic spinner bait, buzz bait, weedless spoon, Mepps, and about any bait with a spinner or spoon type design was developed in Vermont back in the late 1800’s.
