Not sure how she did it but she actually buttoned her mouth shut. A couple of the Trebles went thru the lower lip and out the top lip. Poor dog knew she was in trouble and sat in this perfect frozen position for the 45 minute 30 mile drive to the vet. Had to knock her out to cut the hooks out of her. Shes fine now but doesnt go near my tackle
Looks like you have a fine dog there, hate to see them little critters in pain but it happens. Them red eye shad hook anything they touch i have lost a small fortune of them already and the future aint looking good as long as the fish keep bittin them
Poor girl. Sometimes they have to learn the hard way. A few years back I had a Cocker Spaniel that got into some musky lures in the corner of the bedroom at 2:00 in the morning. She woke me up with some horrible yalps, whines, and other horrible noises as she was trying to free her face from the carpet. It all ended well and she ended up fine. To this day I never bring tackle back into the house. It stays in the “man” room from now on
I have to admit, It scared the bejeezus out of me. Once I managed to get her calmed down I was a whole lot more frantic then she was. It just amazed me how calm she kept herself.
Glad She is ok,,,what a great looking dog,, looks like a great partner, that is if you can get her back in the boat with you, she may be a little leary of all those hooks!!!
