Got to put a BIG shout out to Andy & Greene Boat & Motor. Sunday during practice for the BASS Southern Open at Lake Norman I has a hub burn up. Jamie Caldwell sent Andy a text and he got back with us Sunday evening and told me to bring it in and they would take care of me. Show up Monday when they opened and they jumped right on it like a NASCAR pit crew. The hub and spindle was ruined, they backed a brand new cat down to the service shop and pulled the spindle and hub assembly off the new trailer and installed it on mine and told me to get back to fishing. Dealers like this is why having a BassCat is worth it. So anyone in the North Carolina area is looking at getting a BassCat, Greene Boat & Motor is the place to get it. Thanks for helping me out, I really appreciate it.

Great service job, just one question, what was the problem with the hub and spindle, a flaw or what!! Issy has a 2013 rig like mine and others around here, just wondering?? The most common issue we have found on the few vault hubs that spun a bearing is degrading rear seals, usually due to ramp monofilament or braided line that was discarded. Those who clean their reel spools on the way home should have to face a burned bearing.

Andy, I had the pleasure of comin by your business last week while on vacation 10/07/14 from Kentucky. We drove over from Lake Lure. You have a beautiful place and some great looking boats. I do not recall the gentleman name that was there at the time but he was very nice to talk to and took the time to show me around even though he new I was just there to drool. Thumbs up!

Thanks for stopping by… I am sorry that I missed you. Mark was probably the person that showed you around. He works in sales and is a great guy. I hope you enjoyed your time in Lake Lure. This is a beautiful part of the country for sure. Lake Lure was part of the beginnings for Greene Boat & Motor. My family owned a marina on the lake called Greenes Marina that my dad (and grandfather) built. My dad sold it in the 80s to focus all energy on Greene Boat & Motor here in Spindale. I actually worked weekends at the marina through high school and loved being on the water every weekend. I was offered a job as a fishing guide in college there but I dont think I have the patience for that so I declined the offer! There is a lot of history surrounding Lake Lure and I am glad that our family has been a part of it. Please let us know if we can ever help you in the future.
