Have 03 cougar. My son and I fished in the rain on Saturday. I hit the button to tuRn on bilge pumps. Nothing – No lights on the a10 came on either. I checked connections on pumps and all were secure. I keep a backup in boat with alligator clips on it so I used that pump. Got home pulled one of the pumps put brand new pump on and nothing. So I thought maybe problem with the a10. Everything worked but bilge and horn. Last time out had bilge but not sure about horn. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Disconnect the power on the A10 and allowing to reboot. Then if that doesnt work you have few options. Since the A10 is potentially dead you can try baking it on a warm setting to 120 to 140 degrees in your oven for a few minutes, cool and reheat once. Cool reinstall and try it again after it reboots from power up. Then your last option is a replacement part of a new A10, though they will need to pull that part from the older stock so be sure you order one for a pre Rope light/ LED model that was built for four bulb incandescent light strings.
just experience the same thing on a 2013. One for sure it was the panel.experienced alot of moisture was for sure it ws the a10 panel. Ended up being a connection on the junction board in the back of the boat. May want to check. could save u a few dollars. The horn and bilge should be to the batery not through the master power2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
redngoo – do you know which of the connections it is? I checked back there and didnt find anything loose, but i did find a small red wire thats on bottom left that looked to be cut but didnt find the other end of the wire. I have know idea how long that wire has been like that or what it is to. Is there a diagram somewhere of what each of the wires go to????? Thanks for both of yalls replys. I am going to try and get it fixed before Monday. My son and I are headed to Lake Fork for our annual Spring Break trip and I want it to be right before I leave, even if it means making a trip to BCB in Mtn. Home to get what I need.
On the p2 it was the 2nd red wire from the starboard side. I took all them loose and cleaned them with a wire brush the one that fed that part of the circuit actually was not making contact in the eye connector.probably got lucky find it.I was ready to buy the panel. I had posted and the basscat members led me to do some more research. On the p2 the alarm .bilge. the pump in and the radio were on that circuit. I glad I done the extra leg work before purchasing a component I didnt need. I assumed it was the a10 panel . Sometimes assumptions cost a man $$$. Good luck. Hope u find the problem2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
The wire that I found that looked like it had been cut was the 2nd wire on the bottom starboard side! Thanks, Now I just have to find where in the crap the other end of it is – I looked last night with no luck.
BCB : can you tell me where the red wire that is second from starboard side on the bottom connects to? Is it possible that it connects back into the junction box because I cant find any other loose wire under back deck anywhere. Thanks in advance. 2003 Cougar
We suggest you make a call to Finish or Service and they can better assist you.
Thanks for yalls help. I found an old thread that had a picture of where the wire went. It fed back into the board. Problem solved!
Good job!
