I have always debated going to Gell Cells in the rear. You drop some weight and you risk the chance of a spill where something could get damaged. Im curious as to if the onboard will work with a Gell Cell. I ask this because with another Gell Cell I have for a totally different application, when I hooked a regular charger up to the Gell Cell it made some terriable noises and hisses. This may be a total no-brainer question by its October and im already preparing for my spring battery swap!
Contact the charger mfg. and ask. I believe Cul-m-rite will handle the gel cell batteries, there may be a switch on the charger for such,,,,my memory escapes me sometimes, but i believe i remember a switch to activate that feature.
