Ive had the dry compartment flipping deck unsecured in my P-III since 01 Been in some pretty nasty stuff on Sam Rayburn, Ray Roberts, Tawakoni, etc, and never had the box move or bounce, though I do keep a few odds n ends in there which may give it some added weight to keep it down. My box may be heavier than the ones offered for newer models, not sure. I can understand BC wanting all to err on the safe side and have you bolt that thing down, yet mine has been safe and rock steady over the years. My bigger concern has been fishing pliers, measuring boards, cans of scent, and other misc items flying around in the rough stuff that I failed to stow properly!
