ACC wiring help

I am trying to use the ACC switch to power my Sonichub but cannot find the right wire. I researched the topic and it said the wire is orange or pink coming from the panel. I have a pink wire but it is connected to a black with pink stripe wire that goes to the back. The black/pink stripe wire also has a black/orange stripe wire in a black cover with it that has a mercury marine tag on it. Not sure what the black/pink stripe wire goes to or runs because I never turn the ACC switch on. This is on a 06 Classic. Does anyone know what the black/pink stripe wire goes to? Where else can I get a switch to get power to the Sonichub? Thanks,Troy West

There should be a pink wire by the courtesy light under the console. Check that one out.

Will I be able to turn the Sonichub off using that wire or will it be hot as soon as I turn on the master switch? Also do you know what the black/pink stripe wire I talked about above is for? It would be nice to know if it runs something I should know about. Thanks, Troy West

We dont know anything about the Mercury wiring, there are those at BCB who do, though we dont. The pink wire is our acc. wire and should turn on so check it out.

Mine was orange, and when I found it, it was strung towards the light on the side of the console. 2004 PIV.- Chaz

Ill look for it but there is no orange wire coming from the back of the panel.

How I actually found it was calling a dealership in texas who was open (after business hours out here) and talking through it with one of their mechanics. Getting someone on the phone while you are down there may help a bit more than those of us here guessing with ya. Just a thought.- Chaz

Yes, the pink wire is the Master Power switched, the Orange is on the ACC switch. BCB

My ACC switch wire was also orange. It was very difficult to find. It was stretched out in the bundle going to back of boat. I had to cut the zip ties off of the bundle wiring to find it. It ended up being about 2 or 3 foot long.

After talking to Pete at the factory, we found that my boat does not have the orange wire in the harness. The ACC switch was not used when it was built and the wire was just not put in the harness. As with every problem, BCB has a orange wire pre-made on its way to me today. Special thanks to Pete for all his help with this problem.Troy West
