Acrylic Rails

This is an image of an acrylic rail piece we put on top of the building when we started the original Puma with lighted rails in 2004. The piece was removed in 2009 exactly 5 years later and only the gunk and trash removed. The piece has not been cleaned or protected and sat on a metal roof in all temps through out those 5 years. There is not any damage or coloring as the piece has not been cleaned till 2009, nor had any solvent used on it. The acrylic condition would replicate the condition of all the rails if we did not wax, spray, and try to protect those acrylic rails. This part has not been polished or defaced in any manner. Only cleaned with a cotton towel and a mild soap agent after those 5 years. We wanted to test the long term weather and UV effects.
