Recently i add a garmin livescope. Along with a hds 12 and a hds 9. Seems after a day of fishing(generally) 12 hour days. Im getting some low voltages with my cranking battery. Since i only run a 24 volt troller i believe i have room to add a “house” battery on the port side. I will have to add a new tray but thats ok. Im currently running the big northstar 31. If i add house battery wat is this going to do the performance? I will be adding another northstar. And by the way for the one that dont kno. It is a 13 model p2. Any pictures of a 4 battery setup would be appreciated

The charger that came with my 2019 classic would not charge the 31 AGM Mega cycles to full even though the charger cut off . Started having low voltage on my three Helix 10 when my live well pumps came on. Started using my minn kota 230 set on HP AGM again and problem cleared up. I have two of the 230 to charge four 31 AGM batteries and it took 8 hours for all four to get 100 percent .

I have a single charger for my northstar. I charge with a dual pro delta volt. My troller which are not of concern i use a lester charger. I’ve load tested my northstar it shows good. The dual pro brings the battery to full charge. Im not sure what is going on. The one thing i do kno is the problem started when i added the black gls10 and the 1042xsv. After 4 or 5 hours of fishing my graph will show below 12 volts.

I have the 6 gauge wire upgrade to the dash and 10 gauge to the front graphs. We fish many 12 hours days so this problem needs addressed. The northstar is a great battery and is only 2 yrs old. Dont think its the battery but i guess its a possibility. But according to the load test its good!.. before i added the garmin i never seen voltages that low.

Load testing really tells almost nothing about a battery’s RC. I suspect that, although still very good, your big Northstar has lost enough reserve so that it cannot handle all of the new load being placed upon it. Obviously, the problem gets amplified if you don’t start and use our outboard much during the day. A house battery should resolve the issue for you. Although I am a huge fan of Northstar for dual purpose as you have now, why not just add an inexpensive small deep cycle battery for house?? Certainly no worries with the two excellent chargers that you have.
